Job description: Electronic Technician III- 1099/Consultant Primary Location: Offutt Air Force Base, NE, US Must be a U.S citizen Job Summary Obsidian Solutions Group is seeking an Electronics Technician III to provide technical support for Audio Visual Equipment on the SPAWAR contract. Key Accountabilities * Provide technical support for A/V equipment at U.S. Government Agencies located in Omaha Nebraska. To include: * Performing preventative maintenance of equipment * Troubleshooting and resolution of operational issues * Development and coordination of upgrade plans to A/V systems * Install, configure, operate, and maintain A/V Systems * Coordinate, schedule, operate and maintain VTC equipment and systems; provide design and installation advice and technical support * Perform a variety of engineering/technical tasks including but not limited to equipment repair, cabling, inspection, installs, modifications, and maintains electrical/electronic systems, circuits, and equipment. Knowledge and Skills * Must have experience with and understanding of VTC infrastructure. * Demonstrated experience installing and repairing electronics * Demonstrated experience multimedia and audio/visual control and distribution systems projects. Experience and Education * Must possess a minimum of eight (8) years of practical experience to include the following: * Electronic Repair * Maintenance * Installation * Checkout * Two (2) years of experience to include: * Supervision * Shop practices * Three (3) years of practical experience to include: * Electronics repair * Installation * Six (6) years of experience with the multimedia and audio/visual control and distribution systems projects. Note: Experience may be concurrent * High School Diploma or GED required * Must possess formal electronics training from one (1) of the following programs: * Technical School * Class A or B military school in electronics or communications * Four (4) year electronics apprentice program * Formal electronics training with demonstrated experience in: * Installation Tasks * Soldering * Cable Dressing * Cable Tray * Conduit * Making/Repairing Connectors. Physical Requirements and Work Environment * Normal office environment. Travel * Domestic travel may be required for training and program coordination.
