Job description: ePlus inc. is currently seeking a Electronic Technician (VoIP) for our client in Huntington, WV. QUALIFICATIONS High degree of expertise in performing repairs, testing and calibration procedures on complex electronic equipment. High degree of expertise in the troubleshooting and programming of a Cisco VOIP Telecommunication System and an Avaya Analog Telecommunication System. Associates Degree in Electronics Engineering or Network Engineering preferred CCNA or CCNA Voice preferred 2+ Years Experience is Required as a Level I technician preferred Demonstrate working knowledge of hospital telecommunication terminology, and telecommunication equipment. Demonstrate and in-service telecommunication equipment to nursing staff. Specialized training on Cisco VOIP and Avaya telephone systems preferred RESPONSIBILITIES Perform preventive maintenance on complex electronic equipment, i.e. calibration, performance testing, and detailed written reporting on such maintenance. Perform repairs on complex electronictelecommunication equipmentsystems. Will have specialized training on two or more audio and videoelectronic communications systems, i.e. nurse call, television. Takes initiative to identify and analyze problems generates alternative solutions. Takes appropriate risks that lead to improved work practices. Demonstrates and promotes high standards for quality and productivity focuses on results. Demonstrates understanding and sensitivity to compliance issues related to corporate compliance plan. Maintains a work environment free from clutter and does not obstruct patient ambulation. Reviewresearch and correct hazard alerts, providing necessary documentation and correspondence to affected departments. Establish appropriate priorities in meeting the needs of the patient and clinical staff. Recognize the need for change and accept alteration in assignments. Understands and can explain rationale for techniques and procedures. Reports patient safety concerns and hazardous conditions in a timely and appropriate manner.
